We really enjoyed the warm temps in the 60's, since last week it looked like this:

Blue Lagoon Volleyball

Emma is playing volleyball this year, her team is the 'blue lagoon'

She's picked up the game quickly, it turns out she's a natural

Dallin is also a natural...climbing monkey.

Here are the four leaf monsters. Will, Dallin, Abbie, and Emma.

Will is the brave one, he isn't afraid of anything.

 Dallin is the crazy one. he will do anything that involves being crazy.

 We are all jealous of Abbie because she had the best leaves and clothes.

 Emma is the one who is willing to do anything for her other 3 leaf monster friends.

but right now they are all sleeping. they will come out in the spring and walk out into the woods and then get back into their leaf piles for fall and winter. These are the four little leaf monsters.

Emma turned 10 and Abigail turned 8.

We love our girls!

 













 Will turned 3 in June and if you ask him today how old he is he says "I'm turning 3 on my birthday".  Cute kid.

 

And our "Boy Genius" Dallin turned 5 and started preschool this Fall.

Borah Peak

Time for my semi-annual blog post...
I climbed Borah Peak with Steve, Drew, and Rod yesterday

At 12,662 feet, it is the highest peak in Idaho

 The final ascent, 800 foot scramble to the top, not much of a trail.

Dangerous Diva #15

Abbie was drafted by the Dangerous Divas this season

Here she is in the starting line up in yesterday's game

There's #15 scoring her very first bucket as a Dangerous Diva

and hustling back on defense! (move over Jimmer)

Speaking of Jimmer, here's the kid that tells everyone that he wants to be Jimmer when he grows up. To tell you the truth, that sounds pretty good to me too, if I could only turn back the clock...and grow a few inches...and get some skills...

And the biggest fan of them all. Nearly every Sunday he notices the baskets during church and yells out for the whole congregation to hear "look Daddy, soccerball hoops!"

We had a very happy New Year's Eve filled with lots of fun, family, and food.

The first day of school has arrived! 

Emma and Abbie rode the bus and then I followed it to the school. 

(I'm not too proud to tail a school bus.)

I met the girls at the school and the highlight of the ride...

"The bus is great!  You don't have to buckle!"

We've all had butterflies in our tummies for a week but

it looks like it will be a fantastic year!

In other news - the house is finally taking shape.

Rock and cement go in and then we start landscaping.

YEAH!!  We can't wait to move in and invite you all over!

Trampoline + Sisters + Dallin = Broken Leg

So, Dallin broke his little leg on Friday. 

We got his cast on today and

 don't you think he looks like Jimmer?

He does - because it's BLUE!

Obviously.

 85 servings of chocolatey goodness all over my kitchen.

This wily whippersnapper is the culprit.

Must be some pretty good eatin' because he is completely

unphased by the frenzied lady behind the camera.

Valentines Day

This year, in honor of our upcoming trip to Italy,

we celebrated Lovers Day with an authentic Italian dinner.

Thanks to our chef, Roberto, and his lovely wife

 for every perfect bite.

And thanks to our friends who made it a night to remember.
